This painting is my love letter to water, the quiet, unstoppable force that keeps every one of us alive. Water is so much more than something we drink, it has a pulse, a rhythm, that flows through the world and through us. I wanted to capture that duality of how water can be gentle and life-giving but also powerful and unrelenting.
I leaned into the darkness to explore what life might feel like without it, that sense of stillness, of absence. But I balanced it with light and movement, because water is never truly still. It flows, it dances, it carves new paths. Painting it this way felt like painting its soul, its aura, this invisible glowing energy that connects everything in nature.
This piece is about more than water. It’s about the feeling of standing near a river or the ocean and knowing you are small, but also deeply connected to something bigger. It’s about finding life in the flow, even when things feel heavy.
